Professor Diermeier also extensively teaches in Kellogg non-degree executive education programs. He has taught workshops and customized programs in biotechnology, energy, corporate governance, financial services, manufacturing, medical marketing, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, media management, regulatory management, security management, and transportation management for a variety of clients including Ernst and Young, Exelon, the FBI, GE Medical Systems, the National Football League, the International Security Management Association, the Medical Marketing Association, the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society, the Physicians Foundation, the World Presidents' Organization, and the Young Presidents' Organization.

Professor Diermeier serves as the academic director of a customized program for the International Security Management Association (ISMA) and is a co-creator and academic director of the CEO Perspective Program, a joint venture between the Kellogg School of Management and the Corporate Leadership Center and Kellogg's most senior executive education program.

In addition, Professor Diermeier was a co-creator and founding director of the Social Enterprise at Kellogg (SEEK) major. The purpose of the major is to help students understand the value challenges faced by managers and enable them to integrate those values with business planning and strategy in the for-profit, nonprofit or governmental sector. Professor Diermeier has authored several business cases on topics including reputation management, crisis management, and non-market strategy.
